Hashtags have become a crucial part in almost every social media marketing strategy, but sometimes their worthless if you don’t use them in the best possible way according to the possibilities offered by each social network.

Just take a look at Twitter to see how Tweets with hashtags receive twice the engagement against those who don’t post with hashtags, but according to statistics, it is recommended to use two hashtags maximum per Tweet:
  • Using more than 2 hashtags reduces the engagement a 17%.
  • The Tweets with 1 or 2 hashtags are 21% more engagement.
  • Users are 55% more likely to retweet when you include at least 1 hashtag.
  • Only 25% of the Tweets without hashtags are retweeted  against a 40% rate of retweets for those who have hashtags.
2. How to use hashtags on Instagram:
Instagram is a completely different ‘beast’ compared to Twitter in regards to the use of hashtags. In the selfie capital social network hashatgs are the Kings, and the most experienced users use them quite enough.

3-5 Hashtags – 416 interactions on average per post
6-10 Hashtags – 307 interactions on average per post
10 Hashtags – 188 interactions on average per post
For many users on Facebook, the use of hashtags seems forced and unnatural. In addition, users on this social media platform often don’t find much on the basis of hashtags in this network, since for most users it is a novelty, and it is strongly recommended that you be prudent with the use of the hashgtags on Facebook.
4. How to use hashtags on Google+
